Freebmd shows 1889

Have you looked for her on the 1911 census - no clues there?

Hi carole, thanks for your reply, the reason i have the 2 births is because on ancestry shes born 1889 but in 1939 war census it gives her date of birth as 22 April 1885, in 1911 census (age 22)shes down as adopted daughter as both her parents where dead and shes with her brother with another family local in Scunthorpe.
The problem i have is trying to find records showing if she was indeed a nurse in a local hospital, i think it would have been called Frodingham hospital but cant find any records for this, i have sent email to red cross to see if they can help but not heard anything from them as yet.
Many thanks

Frodingham Cottage Hospital closed in 1929 to be followed by "The Scunthorpe and District War Memorial Hospital" .....
