Welcome to Rootschat Shaza

Have you tried searching on this website?

http://www.findagraveinscotland.com/

You may need to register to see the full details.  It does say you can do a free search so I would try that first.

Or you may like to look at this website to see if this is any help

Thank you Girl Guide but nothing is turning up. Going to Scotland later in the year was hoping to find graves but looks like a needle in a haystack. Without at least a cemetery name!😞

Was a death notice put in the local paper at all? Quite often the funeral details are given and the name of the church is mentioned.

Are you willing to put his name on here so that other Rootschatters can try to assist you?

Thank you people. Firstly I'm in New Zealand. I'm looking for both great grandparents
William McLean died Smithston Asylum 1883 Greenock
Margaret Nebbs (had remarried) died Govan Glasgow 1913 She was born Margaret Blackburn.
I have copies of death certs from Scotlands people
Haven't looked in news papers....if anyone has a link?..
I have quite a bit on them except where they're buried!

I've been looking in newspapers and not getting anywhere.  Perhaps you could try contacting the Glasgow City Archives for information about Margaret Nebbs burial place.

https://www.glasgowfamilyhistory.org.uk/ExploreRecords/Pages/Burial-Lair-and-Cremation-Registers.aspx

There is an email address you can write to.

For William try the Inverclyde links that myself and Dawnsh gave you at replies #1 and #4

To Dawnsh and Girl Guide thank you I have now found my Great Grandfathers grave in Greenock cemetery after emailing from the links you gave me. My Great Grandmother is still at large but I shall continue.
Was wondering does anyone know in 1913 would you be buried where you died or could you be returned to your original hometown or is that just a case of wealth?
