Ellen WHEELER, nee Ronayne,married Hobart 1875

I'd  be grateful for any details on this lady...

What I know so far includes:

      . her marr. certificate shows Ellen Ronayne, born 1855, father Richard Ronayne and mother Margaret Ronayne. Spouse was Martin Wheeler, a mariner. Both 20 years old.

      . info from c.1890 newspapers, re. the criminal case against her father Richard.

In these newspaper reports, she is described as both daughter of Richard and step-daughter of Richard.

Confusion resulting.

I have been unable to find a birth, or any other, record for her or Martin. Margaret, the mother, may be the one born in Ireland, and I am wondering if Richard and Margaret may have been related and not married? Perhaps Ellen is Margaret's dau. only?

I have good records of her father Richard, who was transported form London 1843.

The Female Convicts Research Centre has Margaret in their database under a number a name variations.

They have her marrying Richard Raneque on 28 Sept 1857 which seems to be this one on the Linc Names Index (Richard Ronagan and Margaret Lundakin)

They also have her as convict Margaret Laundrygan (Aurora 2 dept. 1851)
and Ellen as born Nov 4 1853 as shown on Margaret's conduct record
