George Brown & Eliza Moody - marriage between 1851 and 1855 - somewhere!
« on: Thursday 08 February 18 16:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I'm poking this one with a stick again.  More info is in this link here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=27192.0

George Brown b.c. 1822 Stamford, Lincs/Easton, Northamptonshire was my 3 x Gt Grandfather.  My 3 x Gt Grandmother was Eliza Brown b.c. 1822 South Cave, Yorkshire.

I am yet to find a marriage for them.  I have no idea where, but their first child together was my 2 x Gt Grandfather, Charles Arthur Brown b.c. 1855 Guisborough, Yorks.

If anyone could find a marriage for the pair, I'd be most grateful!

Regards, Emma

Thanks for the replies. I've got her in 1851, with daughter Charlotte.

I've no idea where George is, other than the suggestion made about the man in Cumberland on the other thread.

You may already have this, but there is a baptism in South Cave for an Eliza Moody daughter of Elizabeth (no father's name), born March 28 1829, baptised July 21 1833. Mother's abode is down as Hull. Under 'profession' it says spinster.
HELP!!!

 BATHSHEBA BOOTHROYD bn c. 1802 W. Yorks.

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

Thank you. I knew she was illegitimate and had the baptism, but not a birthdate.
