Help reading place name on 1841 census please?
« on: Saturday 10 February 18 22:37 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Please could I have some help from someone with local knowledge of the Kirklinton area?  I am trying to read this place name and find it on a map.  I have been looking at the old OS maps hoping it will make it clearer what the name on the census is, but it's just too faint for me.

This is the place name on the census.
It is the home of Robert Thompson bn abt 1806.

If it helps, the next place name is Blackford (it's on the next census page).
