Carlisle Castle missing passenger lists?

Family folk lore has several of the Hudson clan arriving in Sydney from London aboard the Carlisle Castle, most likely between November 1887 and March 1888. Unfortunately I am unable to find a passenger list to confirm this and am hoping that one of the brilliant people on here might be able to point me in the right direction?

Can you give us some names, dates of birth etc., ?

Victoria, Australia, Assisted and Unassisted Passenger Lists, 1839-1923 - departure London arrival Melbourne Australia - 20 January 1888

M Hudson - born 1861 - female - 27 years -
M Hudson - born 1887 - male 1 year -

As far as I can see, the Carlisle Castle did not go to Sydney in 1887/1888.

You can search for the ship on Trove for the 1880s to see years and ports.

Thanks Debra, it definitely went to Melbourne in that time, so maybe fact has been distorted by family over the years
