I am looking for a Death record for a Joseph Wood bn 1909 Workington, Cumberland.
I have been told he had died when in his 50's.

First, there isn't a Joseph Wood born 1909 Workington but there is one whose birth was registered Sept. qtr. 1908.

He appears to have been born 29/5/1908 and died Dec.1970 Cockermouth regn. district which would make his 62.

Getting back to a Joseph Wood bn 29/5/1908 died 1970 Cockermouth, Cumberland.
Trying to find a wife and siblings to Joseph Wood.
I have his parents William Wood and Grace Jardine?

John born 1902 registered Cockermouth
William 1906 died 1906
Joseph 1908
Albert 1912

All listed with mothers maiden name Jardine.

1911his mother states married 9 years 3 children born 2 living 1 deceased

Was his death recorded in the local paper, that would give you some clues.
