As a little aside to what Forfarian and Goldie61 have told you, such frivolities as Baptisms and Marriages were not tolerated within the Kirk which was regarded as a place of worship, not celebration, the closest you would ever get would be the Manse. Also if someone attending a Service were to say "Amen" in a sing-song voice, it could cause a walkout. You could spend many a Winter night reading about Torphichen which was an important place of worship to the Knights Templar, there are Refuge Stones surrounding the village at a distance of One Scottish Mile.

James. lives 4 miles from the Preceptory.

Baptism is a sacrament in the Church of Scotland, not a frivolity!
