By cross-referencing his parents were Harold Shilcock and Agnes C Gadsby.

Will report back and thanks for the heads up on the marriage certificate - why didn't I think of that.

Watching the film is very poignant but as Stanley was the third local lad to fall at Dunkirk, it makes the story even more so. Their stories must be told.

I like the way it's described as a Drapers & Grocers, it's still the only shop in a very small village, I suspect his parents were masters of all trades.

Afternoon, sorry to jump on your post.

I'm trying to find information about a Stanley Harold Shilcock, service number 5387125.
He was my grandma's brother, so my Great Uncle.
Just wondering if you have any leads that could help me? I saw you mention a video about local men who had fought in WW2.
