Hello i wonder if anyone has any info please on Harvey Teasdale's family also known as the monkey man he was born in 1817 Sheffield to Benjamin Teasdale and Martha Owen , he wrote a book The life and adventures of Harvey Teasdale.He married a Sarah and had 2 daughters Bolyna born 1838 and Harriet born 1842 , i can't find any info on Bolyna after 1851 in the 1871 census Harvey and Sarah have a grandson John Hubert Broadbent showing born 1867 Huddersfield and in 1877 i think he was a drapers apprentice in Buxton but i can't work out which daughter is his mother.
For Harvey's siblings i have Emma Teasdale born 1815 Sheffield married Isaac Hall , Edwin Teasdale who married a Bolina Cox born 1826 Hull can't find her after 1851 census and then married to an Elizabeth in the 1861 census and an Elizabeth Teasdale born 1809 Sheffield married a James Staniforth born 1811 Brightside Sheffield, a pen knife cutler.
I would like to find out more about James Staniforth and Elizabeth Teasdale , i know they had 3 children James , Maria and my ggg grandmother Selina . I think perhaps James may have had a connection along with Harvey Teasdale having the Three Tuns pub in Sheffield.
Would also like to know more about Benjamin Teasdale .
