Help Please
« on: Sunday 25 February 18 13:13 GMT (UK) »
Hi Folk's, Help required to decipher the writing on the back of this picture postcard from around 1915-1930 in Salford, Lancashire, on the rear of the card is a picture of my Grandma 1882-1929, she is posing with the local rag and bone man and holding a Pidgeon, Pic currently on (Old Photographs Forum).

The way the number 7 is crossed is interesting and I can make out the word "Pidgeon" but not much else, thank you for any attempts at this.

Cheers, Peter.

Thinking back to my days of chemical photo printing. I think there was a photo paper size of  20x16 ins.

Could it be instructions/ideas to a printer for an enlargement and (possibly) printed with a white vignette - hence the 'oval'

My thoughts too about instructions for a reprint & framing.  :)

Found a paper size that matches - Imperial Copy Draught = 16x 20 ins.  Also, the current   A3+ photo paper* is very close.

* based on standard photo paper sizes.

If it is instructions, it could be something like:

Most of lady only with pigeon Blanked out

Maybe. Possibly.  ;D
