William Bachelor Diamond
« on: Monday 26 February 18 08:01 GMT (UK) »
I have found a newspaper (Kentish Gazette of 15 Jan 1808) reference to the marriage (on 6th Jan 1808) of William Bachelor Diamond to Jane Welch. It describes William as being "of the Bengal establishment". What would that mean.
