The marriage of Major Charles Deakin
«

Hello,
I'm trying to find the date in March 1918, that my Grandfather, (then Major - later Lieutenant Colonel) Charles Deakin, married my Grandmother, Joyce Annette Theodora Braithwaite at St. Martins-in-the-Fields, London.
He was born in Birmingham on 28 Jan 1888 and died at Netley Military Hospital, Southampton on 8 March 1944.
Hoping somebody can help.

Hello GD40, and welcome to rootschat.
As Colin said, the marriage was 23 Jan 1918. Here's a copy of the marriage notice from the Gloucester Journal, Saturday, January 26, 1918, Vol. CXCVII, Issue 10191, p.5

Hello Maddy52,
Thank you for your very quick reply. I've been searching for this information for two years, obviously not in the right places!
Colin, I couldn't read your message and am blocked from sending you a reply, but thank you for answering my request.
I may well be back on the Forum looking for more help.
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Geoff.

I don't think it is possible to send a copy with a PM, you need to exchange email addresses to receive it that way
