Sadly not she: daughter of George Fowler Colman and Mary Ann Hudswell, married 1845; George was a saddler throughout his life I think baptised 1821 to George Tucker Colman and Fanny in Southwark, he died in 1900 in Islington. Mary Ann Elizabeth was born in 1849 last quarter in Stepney and married William Mackrill in 1870 and so cannot be mine!
Thanks again
Helen

Elizabeth Hoskins Ward (married William Escott 12 Nov 1854 Trinity Church Marylebone)
William is living with and married to Charlotte Susan Elger from 1868.

Why do you think these two Williams are the same person?  One is a Merchant's Clerk, the other a Carpenter and Butcher.

Henry John Peacock (1848 -1895) married this lady at Holy Trinity, Tulse Hill on 20 Aug 1871. Both of this parish. Mary Annie daughter of James Collman a coachman.

Who were the witnesses to this marriage?

Frances Coleman 39 Spinster Brompton. Father: James Coleman Dec'd Coachman
Wits: George & Harriet Harris
MORGAN: Glamorgan, Durham, Ohio. DAVIS/DAVIES/DAVID: Glamorgan, Ohio.  GIBSON: Leicestershire, Durham, North Yorkshire.  RAIN/RAINE: Cumberland.  TAYLOR: North Yorks. BOURDAS: North Yorks. JEFFREYS: Worcestershire & Northumberland. FORBES: Berwickshire, CHEESMOND: Durham/Northumberland. WINTER: Durham/Northumberland. SNOWBALL: Durham.

I was puzzled by Louisa's surname too! Christopher William was Henry John's brother.
Why do I think the William Escott who married Charlotte is the one who is Walter's father an Elizabeth's husband - I can't be sure he is although he changes his profession at each census =merchant's clerk, Butcher, tobacconist, confectioner - however he always says he is from Somerset and born in about 1827. I have found his baptism in Carhampton 26 November 1826 and his father, George is a carpenter. In 1854 when he marries Elizabeth he says he is a piano maker. Now sometimes his birth town is given as Taunton which is not particularly near Carhampton, but the William living with Charlotte gives both Carhampton and Taunton as his birth town. I think it's the same William Escott.

FAO Rosie99 and Dawnsh.
I can not put the info I have sent via PM as it is from a paid site and it's a copy and paste, plus a link.
I have been told not to do this.
So I don't.
That's why I send PM.

Yes, that is true Maggsie, but you are allowed/supposed to transcribe what you see in the images and tell us exactly what you have sent so we don't waste time and do the same things again.
