Amy Marsden Cooper (wife of John Cooper) had a brother Harold Marsden - who cpould have been killed in WW1 - see below.

There was a death in WW1 (France and Flanders) for Harold Marsden born Stockport - 13 April 1918 - 1st 5th Battalion (Territorial) -    Northumberland Fusiliers (Formerly 435, Welsh Div. C.C.)
Regiment no - 44999

Death accepted - 13-8-1918 - Soldiers effects listed - mo (mother solely) Martha - which would fit with Harold Marsden ( so perhaps this is the correct brother to Amy)

There is a New York Passenger List for Hannah Abbott born 1885 Stockport - aged 54 years - travelling Southampton to New York on the Queen Mary - going to Mrs Amy Cooper - 18292 Steel Avenue, Detroit Michigan. Intended stay 6 months.
mother Mrs Martha Marsden, 112 Love Lane, Heaton Morris. Stockport.

UK Return Passenger List - Hannah Abbott - 29 May 1939 - New York to Southampton on the Queen Mary - going to 25 Aldersgate Road, Stockport.

Hannah had married William Abbott born 1883 - 26 June 1907 - Norris Bank, St Martin, Lancashire. William was 24 years old - bachelor - block cutter - 62 Yates Street Brinnington. father Elias Abbott - Carter.
Hannah was a spinster aged 24 years - 5 Green Lane Heaton Norris Stockport - Father Edward Marsden - Puddler.

BOCA RATON - John Wood Cooper, 72, 926 NW Second Ave., a retired automobile manufacturing superintendent, died last night at his home. Born in Manchester, England, Mr. Cooper came here four years ago from Detroit.

He is survived by his wife. Amy Marsden Cooper, and a son. Harold, Birmingham, Mich.

Arrangements are being made by Fairchild Funeral Home, Ft. Lauderdale, for services and burial in Detroit.

Mr. Cooper was a 1960 graduate of Seaholm High School in Birmingham. He received a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1965. m He is survived by his wife, L***; two sons, J*** and M**, and his parents, Harold and Kathleen. Services for the Rev. John Haney will be at 1 1 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

  I can't see anything I've posted last night or earlier ,,so lm now looking for either of 4 sons not the parents ,John cooper (b) 1900 ,Samuel  (b) 1910.  Harry (b) 1907 , James 1910 ,all born Portwood Stockport ,,my thought  that the parents went along was not correct , eda
