Occupations please
« on: Tuesday 27 February 18 23:14 GMT (UK) »
Please can anyone decipher the occupations listed in the attachment, particularly James Swoish. He was a Coachman in the 1871 census and I have been unable to find the 1881 census. This is 1891.
Thanks

It says Coachman but I can't make out what comes before....Seamstress Shirt seems to be the second one. stationer's Assistant..Last one is Machinist.

Hi,

James occupation reads:

Groom (in a different hand) followed by 'Undertakers Coachman'.

I agree with the rest of the occupations as already given.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
