Date of Birth Significance
« on: Wednesday 28 February 18 21:36 GMT (UK) »
I have come across an instance where a man signing on for the Navy gave his age as a year older than it really was. He was actually just over 18. Would this have been done to get him on a higher pay band? Thanks. Toby.

No, apart from the pay difference between a boy (under 18) and an Ordinary seaman which he became at 18, age played no part in pay scales on joining.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
