Not sure what time period you're looking for? There are a few advertisements for the Holmes Farm, including this one in 1849:

"TO BE LET and entered upon in May next, "The Holmes' Farm" situate in the Parish of Allendale, in the County of Northumberland, containing 147 acres or thereabouts, of good Meadow and Pastureland, now in the Occupation of Messrs Laidler, as Tenants, who will show the Farm. There is a good Farmhouse and Outbuildings upon the Premises. The Farm is well situate and within Two Miles of the Market Town of Allendale and is entitled to 25 1-5th STINTS upon ALLENDALE STINTED PASTURE ..."

Newcastle Courant, Friday, February 2, 1849, Issue 9087

Moving forward with the Armstrongs of Allendale. Looking for any relatives or information on CLIFFORD ARMSTRONG born 1930 died 1959, mother’s name was ROBSON, also looking for information on LIZZIE MAUGHAN who farmed the HOMES farm with her husband Jack, anything would be helpful as I don’t live in the U.K. and can’t get access to fiche files and other info.
