I found an obituary in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa newspaper from 5 Dec. 1916 for Mrs. William Atchison.  It stated that she died the previous Friday at the home of her uncle Thomas S. Young in Williamsburg.  She and her son Joseph had come there a week ago with the remains of her husband from Chicago.  She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Harrington cemetery.  It said that the Atchisons were born in England over 70 years ago, went to Australia after their marriage, and then decided to come to the US.  It's a bit hard to read, but mentions that they had lived at MacDonald, West Virginia and their son lived in Chicago.  It said they buried one son in Australia.

bingo !
I found his obituary - which seems to be the source of the info you had from that family tree.

Williamsburg Journal Tribune, November 30 1916, page 5

I found it here: https://newspaperarchive.com/williamsburg-journal-tribune-nov-30-1916-p-5/

Though I don't have a sub, it allowed me to view the page.

If you can see it then fine, you can at least transcribe what it says. If not I can transcribe it for you

1895 Iowa State Census
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:939V-RMSN-J3?i=1041&cc=1803957

If you look at the Information tab at the bottom, it was Mahaska County, which includes Oskaloosa.
