Hello Karen,

There was a story that a boy named Cox of Killeen went to battle of Tara in 1798.
When he did not return his mother became very upset and eventually the neighbours told her he had been killed. So, she went to the Hill of Tara and searched for his body. She found him but an English soldier threatened to shoot her. Lord Fingal (who knew the family) intervened and allowed her to obtain a shroud for her son. He was the only one of the poor croppies buried in mass grave on Tara.

Also there were Cox,s in Dunsany/Killeen until recently.
