The following is a quotation from my great-grandfather's obituary, published in the Strathroy Dispatch in Ontario, CANADA on 6 February, 1895:
"The deceased gentleman [Thomas Gordon] was born at Dornoch, Sutherlandshire, Scotland, in the year 1826, his father being Sergeant-Major of the 93rd Highlanders" I am seeking any information you might have on these gentlemen, and guidance as to other sources it might be fruitful to inquire of.
