Can't think that there's anything else that we can find from online records.  I don't think that Newspapers would have any announcements  :-\

I have found something else,

The person who was born in 1940, might well have died this year, aged 78 - Clackmannanshire. No mention of married surname.

Thank you all for your input

We have Monica nephew and I have spent may hours during the last fifteen years  going through the records looking for his great grandmother's first marriage --it has always puzzled us as we thought on the 1941 marriage cert. it would have read she was the widow of ???? Cook.
One day hopefully we will strike gold.

suzilad - If you do go to one of the records offices or NRH, it would be worth checking on the 1940 birth, the 1960 marriage and the death that I've just referred to.

The person who was born in 1940, might well have died this year, aged 78 - Clackmannanshire. No mention of married surname.
Other surname was Lennox. Marriage in Alloa in 1960 of Margaret C W J Cook but I haven't found a birth.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Suzilad

Monica has the details of the 1960 marriage and 1940 birth - I'm sure she'll give you details via PM if you ask. The parties might still be alive so we can't put their names up just in case.

I would love to have them. Unfortunately, we can only get as far as the index for now, with the details we have above so far (1940 birth and 1960 marriage).

We will keep fingers crossed, suzilad, until you are able to view in person  :)
