COMPLETED Marriage record- Adames Reeves
« on: Wednesday 14 March 18 12:20 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to trace a marriage for George Adames (b. 1796, Pagham).  I know he married Susannah Penfold in 1820 and they had 2 daughters, Susannah and Ruth, but despite not being able to find a death for Susannah sr George later appears to be married to a Mary Ann.  There is a possible marriage with Mary Ann Reeves in South Bersted 1827 but no details about his parents to identify if it is him.

If anyone can look anything up that might help I would be very grateful.

Thank you
Williams - Abergavenny/Cardigan
Morris - Cardigan
Penfold - Pagham/Hampshire
Mitchell - Sittingbourne
Matthews - Sittingbourne
Everard - Braintree
Lowe - Kidderminster
Giles - Kidderminster
Sadler - London
Miller -Wiltshire/Mountain Ash
Bracher - Wiltshire
Tucker - North Devon

You're welcome.
If you want to see the image of the marriage, it's on FamilySearch (need to be logged in)
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-DWG9-VY9?i=48&cat=228438

And the marriage allegation, dated 21 Nov 1827

Thank you again.  :)

That's really interesting - I have never seen a marriage allegation before.

Hi
There's another one for you (it's on the same film)

The George Adames - Susannah Penfold marriage at Pagham, 1820, is here
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-XH1S-8NY?i=302&cat=143348

That was also by licence. In 1820 bonds were still required, so you get that as well (allegation on next image)

Why would they be by licence as they are both of full age?
