Please could someone find the baptism of William Balls, born end of 1781 or early 1782, probably in Pakenham or nearby. Thank you :)

Thank you solidrock  :)

William Balls.  baptised  05 Jan 1782, Suffolk.  To  John Balls and Mary Balls.

Does this baptism say which area of Suffolk or which church, or give address or occupation by any chance?

Afraid not, just says Suffolk, the other one is about 7 miles from  Pakenham.

Hi Olicana,
The Suffolk baptism records from the SuffolkFHS say;
5-1-1782 William Balls s/o John & Mary in "Onehouse, St.John the Baptist"

the other bapt in Haughley is as Solidrock states.

Added; If the entry above is the one your going with, then this marriage might be relevant;
25-10-1779 John Balls, of Onehouse, to Mary Frost in Gt.Finborough

Alan
Browse, Peggs, Revans/Revance/Ribbans, Spall,   in Suffolk/Norfolk
Belcher, Elderfield, Froude, Saunders,  Stimson, Tame,   in Berks
Artis, Gray in Norfolk

Thank you for that information ribbo39  :)

I was leaning towards the 5-1-1782 baptism because one Ancestry tree has William's parents as John and Mary Firman (not sure if they have sources). However, John and Mary Frost seem to be the parents here.

William married Sarah Baley/Bailey (1778–1859) on 11 Aug 1803 in Cavenham. They had 8 or 9 children. The first was born in Cavenham, the rest in Pakenham, where William died on 23 Apr 1849 and Sarah died on 24 Jan 1859, so I was expecting to find William's baptism there.

Haughley and Onehouse both seem to be a similar distance from Pakenham. Any ideas how to establish which baptism (if either) is correct?
