Found a couple of sites which may be of help -
The engineering industry followed the new textile factories into the parish. Webster and Bennet's boring and turning mills were established in Northey Road in 1887; the Brett Patent Lifter Company, making drop forging equipment, in the 1890s; the Albion Drop Forgings Company in Lockhurst Lane, in 1900; and Sterling Metals, making castings, in 1907. (Footnote 12) Alfred Herbert, the machine tools firm, established in Coventry in 1889, built a foundry at Edgwick in 1900.  From: British History Online Source: The City of Coventry: The outlying parts of Coventry: Foleshill. If nothing else this will give you something to do.
