Thomas Gamble, Finvoy

Thomas is my Great-Great Grandfather. I am assuming he was born between 1858 and 1865 (census) in Finvoy. He married Martha Thompson in 1890 at Finvoy Presbyterian Church. According to this record his Father was Samuel Gamble, who was a labourer. I dont know who Thomas's Mother is at all. So, if anyone can shed light on Samuel Gamble and his wife, id appreciate it.

Thomas died a widower on the 9th February 1943 in the townland of Mullans in Finvoy, where he is recorded as being aged 85. His will calender on PRONI says he was 'Gamble alias Gault' and 'Gamble otherwise Gault Thomas'. I was wondering if anyone knew why he had two surnames ?
