Trying to find brother
« on: Tuesday 27 March 18 11:31 BST (UK) »
Hello, My name is Wendy.  My parents are (*).  I was born in (*) and my sister in (*).  However I have heard that my parents may have had a son before they were married (maybe between 1954 to 1956).  Both my parents were born in Victoria, but I have been led to believe that perhaps my mother was sent to NSW  to give birth to the son, who was then adopted out.  My parents went on to be married in 1957  Does anyone know how i could find information about this?  My father died in 1996 and my mother is still alive

Hi Wendy,

Welcome to Rootschat :)

RootsChat is meant for finding ancestors, rather than living relatives.

People here will be able to give you general tips and hints how to proceed, but not any concrete details.

You will also find more tips here:

and

Good luck,
Bob

I know this is a difficult topic, but have you actually talked to your mother about this?

Or a sibling of either your mother or father may be willing to discuss this?  :-\

As you are Australian, it would be far better to post on an Australian-based site that is experienced in such help.
