Ah.  We didn’t know about the Millward connection.  I see that the Millward/Hill children’s births were registered in Wakefield 1920-1927.

Well it is all very confusing.  Do you know who fathered the Millward children?  I would suggest you have a look at the 1939 Register (on Findmypast) using Maureen’s tips, and tell us who is in Percival A Dyson’s household so that we can help you take it from there.

Playing around with the free index suggests that a Henry J Millward might be in the vicinity.  Surely not a menage a trois?

Since she was a Smith when she married Mr Dyson, it looks unlikely she married Mr Millward in between.

I see - so he was George Ephraim Milward mmn “Oldridge”, birth reg Dec qtr 1886 Basford.

Parents in fact were Ephraim Horatio Millward and Pamela Alldridge, married Dec qtr 1877 Dudley.

One of their other sons was John Henry Millward b 1881 Wolverhampton, who seems to have thought he was born in June 1880 per various records (naval and otherwise) and is likely to be the Henry J Millward whom I found on the 1939 free index.
