Edward Salmon & Hannah Lynam
« on: Monday 02 April 18 16:59 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I have a tentative link in Edward Salmon marrying Hannah Lynam in Edwinstowe around 1766.
Did Hannah give birth to a John Salmon who married an Elizabeth?
Any help appreciated?

Thanks for that. It could work with John fathering a child (Elizabeth)  at 46 (1826); anything on who John may have married? The problem with the family is they skipped between Notts / Derbys and Leics.

There is the baptism of an Elizabeth Salmon in Ollerton on 9 June 1822 (not 1826), parents John (a labourer) and Elizabeth. There are 4 other possible baptisms to this couple before then - Thomas, Harriet, Frances and Richard. John as listed as a tanner in 1818 baptism of Richard.

I think that John and Elizabeth are with their married daughter Frances and her husband Christopher Airey in Norton Cuckney in 1851. If that is them, that gives Elizabeth's age as 72, and pob as Killamarsh in Derbyshire.

Thanks Annie,
Can you put a maiden name to mother Elizabeth?

You helped me before with a Holyland problem, that I still ponder on.
