I'm looking For the parents and siblings of Elizabeth Ann Whaling born is Preston in 1855, she had two daughters Mary Alice hill 1887 and Margaret Ann hill 1889, Elizabeth married James hill 1875

was her mother married Elizabeth Ann Whaling birth registered Preston 1855 ,no mothers maiden name included on the GRO site

I'm looking For the parents and siblings of Elizabeth Ann Whaling born is Preston in 1855,

Her birth certificate would give her parent/s name/s or her marriage certificate might indicate father's names

This is the reference from the GRO indexes which give mother's maiden name but Elizabeth's is blank indicating possibly illegitimate

Have you found her in the 1861 census

was her name spelt as Whalen when she married James Hill ,Barton Upon Irwell, 1875
register office or registrar attended according to Lancashire bmd

Thank you   :) i always thought it was her husband James who was born illegitimate. I haven't found her on the 1861 census

I'm not sure about Mary its Margaret's family i'm trying to find as she was my great grandmother  :) i was told the sisters was born in leigh in 1887 and 1889
