Biggs family
« on: Thursday 05 April 18 21:59 BST (UK) »
Searching for William Biggs, born abt 1800, married to Ann Jones 1804 - 1844.
Two children.   1. William Henry 1842 - 1897, married 24 May 1863 to Hannah Archer 1842 - 1901.
2.   Joseph BIggs 1844 - 1929  Both boys were born in Bebington, Cheshire, England.

I have sourced all info up to the William of 1800. Residences have been Cheshire, Buckinghamshire.   I have not found any connection to Shropshire except for some of the same names and in some cases mixed families.

My husband (Biggs) has done his DNA and so far only one sure match. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you Louenna Biggs

Hi just just spotted this, the birth registrations of both boys with mmn Jones was in Liverpool, Lancashire
I can see W H Biggs in 1871 census with Hannah and family, have you details of 1841/51/61 of family?
So both William b 1800 and Ann 1804 did not marry until they were in their late 30's/40's, when/where did they marry?

Searching for William Biggs, born abt 1800, married to Ann Jones 1804 - 1844.

There is only one death for an Ann Biggs in 1844  :-\
BIGGS, ANN       age 63
1844  Dec Quarter in WEST DERBY  Volume 20  Page 749

Do you have the birth certificates of William 1842 or Joseph 1844 or their baptisms to confirm their mothers christian name.

I can't see the family in 1841/51/61 yet either  ???

That would tie in with a Liverpool marriage that I had considered earlier William Biggs/Frances Rice/Rece 1836.  Not able to look at original at the moment to see if she was widowed. ::)
