Photo of my Dad
« on: Friday 06 April 18 12:27 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone.
Here is my photo of my dad.  It's a bit blurred, I think. I have another one which is darker.

What I'm trying to do. Is make it clearer  so I can see what is behind him.  And get a rough idea when it was taken.
I hope  you can see it.and help me with it.

Thank you again for your help  I really do appreciate it honestly.

Dorothy

Thank you Mike.
Have you any idea roughly  what year the photo  was taken?

I thought  1925.

Thank you again for my photo.

Got to your profile Rami and look through your old posts.   Maybe you can find it that way.

I am guessing it is taken from a strip of photos - or not??   The row of arrows top left suggest either trial photos from a photographer or film strip of some type - I think.

Have had a go but my effort is rubbish and I have deleted it.  Not very high resolution makes it very tricky.

Certaily very hard to see what it behind him, but it looks rather grand.

You know that the first photo is the same as the second I presume, just larger.

I haven't got a clue about the year, Dorothy. Others are much better than dating photos than I am.
The quality of the file is not great and it's difficult to see any details.
I noticed my 1st clean-up was heavy handed and dark so here's the same one with a lighter touch.

I also noticed that the file you posted was a photo (mobile phone?) of a computer screen. Sp someone somewhere must have the scanned photo displayed on the screen. My guess is that the scanned photo (if you have it or can get it) will be of better quality than the photo of the screen.

Really  brilliant.
  It looks  so much different.
I was told my dad was either  12 /14 on this photo.  He looks  older  than 12  I'd say 14/ 15.

Now I can get it printed  and framed.

Thank you again for doing my dad's  photo.  I really do appreciate it.
Thank you again
