Parents of Elizabeth Ann powell

Hi, hoping someone will be able to help trace the parents of Elizabeth Ann Powell.  I know she was married in Llanfrynach Village in Brecon on 06/08/1918 to Frederick William Shayler. Marriage certificate shows her age as 23, address as Llanfrynach Village, Father deceased but no name given.  Witness' on marriage certificate are different to the Bride and Groom.   She passed away on 06/06/1953 in Neath, Death certificate shows age as 60.  According to Find My Past 1939 census shows her date of birth as 01/09/1893.  I know she resided in Swansea during the 1920s then later moved to Neath in 1930s. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find her on 1901 or 1911 census with any certainty.

I would also like to trace where she was buried together with her husband who died in 1957.  I have contacted Neath and Swansea Estates Department, Bridgend CC and also Llanfrynach Church but to no avail. Cremations did not commence in Margam until 1969.

I would be grateful for any assistance as I have been researching for sometime but have hit a brick wall. Many thanks.

No I've just realised this is too early if yours was born in September

If she was 23 in 1918 then her supposed birth year would be 1895 not 1893.

If 1895 is correct then there is this birth registration

But again wrong quarter.

There's an Elizabeth Anne Powell in the September quarter 1895 in Crickhowell - MMN Rumsey

Also in Crickhowell 1889 potential marriage between David Powell and Elizabeth Anne Rumsey/Rumsky

I think this Elizabeth Powell in on the 1901 census as Elizabeth Powell born 1896 on Ancestry in Llanbedr (she's with David and Elizabeth and grandmother Mary Rumsey)

Llanbedr is about 10 miles from llanfrynach - so possible

Hi, thanks for quick response. I had considered Elizabeth ann Powell Nee Rumsey 1895 but believe she passed away in 1978 and was married to a Tom Jones.

The 1895 Elizabeth is down as Elsie in the 1911 living in Graig Y Bwla Llanbedr, parents David and Elizabeth.
