Weavers

This is a general enquiry about the occupation of "weaver" in Derryaghy, Antrim in the 1820s.  I have been told that with the onset of the industrial revolution meant that weaving as a cottage industry was dying.  I have also been told that there is a possible connection to Huguenot immigrants being weavers in that area.  So would a weaver in Derryaghy in say 1825, been weaving on a small scale and might he or she have been influenced by or descended from Huguenots?   Thank you, J.
