I've found a Military record for a Jame Measures

26 June 1915 1914-1920
The date is his service Book reads 26 June 1915. James Measures -DukeofCambridgesOwnMiddlesexRegiment G/42885

Where can I look or find if this is my James Measures? is there anywhere I can view or order this to see if I can link a Address or something to my James Measures?

There is a Medal Roll Index entry for him but no service record that I can see.
Over 60% of WW1 service records were burnt in the WW2 blitz.

Thank you. Its a shame I can't put a photo on here of him to see if anyone came match the uniform to this regiment.

Thank you, I've never seen photo's on here, so I'll ask my daughter to show me what to do. I have James in a uniform but I don't know what uniform it is?  On my tree is would have been 1915, so he would have been 43

Free BMD shows births for Grace, Victor and Arthur with mmn Gearing in addition to 1911 census children.

Arthur is registered in September quarter 1915. If it is the right family, his birth certificate would show his father’s occupation and address to check.
