missing medals ww1
« on: Thursday 19 April 18 15:02 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know of a site where I can place details of missing ( believed stolen) WW1 medals
in the hope of recovering them
Thanks.

First thought is to watch Ebay, named medals usually have the name in the description.  Second is to get in touch with one of the medal dealers (North east Medals for example) and ask their advice, they may have a network - don't know but no harm in trying.

Others I am sure will have ideas.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

I would suggest asking here: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/

It depends which regiment/battalion he was in. Regimental museums often have alot of service medals.
Woollen and the variations thereof (Woolin, Woollin, Woolen etc) in the West Riding area

Hi, there is also a Facebook group:

"Original British War Medals & Badges For Sale"

A post on there may yield some results asking if anyone has them or to keep an eye out for them.

Good luck with your search  :)
