Anyone else having trouble accessing the 1939 Registry on Find My Past. Every time i try to do a search it comes up saying that they are sorry and to try again or contact support.

It was working fine last night and this morning but now it wont work at all.

if its working fine for others, any suggestions to get mine working again would be great. :)

FindMyPast has been playing up for days. I can do 3 or 4 searches then it hangs with the error message eventually showing up. 30 minutes or so later it’s back up again. Mostly happening on 1939 but also on the Northumberland and Durham databases.

JC, I honestly thought it was my computer because mine had been doing the same thing, and then the 1939 registry just wouldn't work at all. It seems to be ok now but I havent used it for a few days.

I've never accessed the 1939 although I've used the indexes but it would be nice if they let people know when there are updating issues which only needs to be written on their site...
How frustrating for people not knowing if it's the site or their own computer/laptop or whatever device as it's a simple task to let people know.

I have to say SP (scotlandspeople) are kind enough to put on their site when they're doing their routine stuff.

These sites want your £s but don't have the decency to inform people of routine work sadly  ::)
