https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Langstaff_Mitchell

Her father Michael Thomas Mitchell. Died Carrick on Shannon 1873.
Mother Kate Cullen died 1913, Dublin

A published tree shows him as son of Adam Mitchell (1816-1892) and Barbara Foster.

Might be best to look at what is given and assess what you would like after that  :)

All covered on

Who she was, parents, siblings etc!

I only posted "Thomas Leslie Crooke's mother was Emily Hackett, daughter of Thomas Hackett and Jane Bernard Shaw"  as that is connection to the Shaws.

Probably a relative of George  Bernard Shaw
Yes I believe somewhere along the line they are acestors to George Bernard Shaw.

Are Barbara Mitchell : Sept 25 and a Catherine Mitchell: Sept 26. Mary Mitchell: Feb 3 (no years).
A G Mitchell Feb 22 1858 from Birr?

Or are they Susan's siblings?

"...Mitchell played her part in Ireland’s literary rebirth at the start of the 20th century. Born in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim on December 6th, 1866, she was the fifth of seven children. Her father was manager of the town’s Provincial Bank. When he died in 1872, the family was split up, with the children being cared for by relatives in Sligo and Dublin. Susan was sent to live with aunts on Dublin’s Wellington Road...."

Susan never married or had children as her fiance George Douglas Crooke died at war.

Yes it is Adam, that is why I posted  :)

I thought the site might also help you look for others in the family or even names from your autographs.
I also came across Adam Garrett Mitchell who might be your Adam G.
