I am saying according to the Isle of Axholme marriage transcriptions there is no Joan Lee or John Brunyee for that matter between 1662-1753. They may not have married or it may have got missed, but I was hoping they may have married elsewhere. It is the spelling of Brunyee that's the problem or it could be me that's missing somethng.
Lizzy.

The death for Joan Brunyee on IGI has her associated with a Joan Palmer born 1689 in Crowle with an alternative name as Joan Lee, and firstly marrying a John Rosse.

Have you explored this strange mixture of surnames?

(The marriage is claimed as 1st May 1719 at Thorne between John Brunyee and Mary Rose, and it looks as if she is a widow)

Hi you've solved it and I am very grateful. I have at least three Joan's in my tree or Joanne's. I assumed they didn't like Joan. The baptism for Joane  Palmer, daughter of George and Mary baptism Crowle 1/05/1689. She married John Ross 10/05/1709  Crowle. The marriage between John Brunyee junior,  which he is and Mary Ross 1719 as you said widow no idea why Mary, but I am sure you got it right. I have found a burial for John Ross 13/12/1716 Crowle. A big thank you Lizzy.

It was worth doing because he also happens to be one of my ancestors.

I did not know who Joan was, so was just waiting for someone to come along and do the work, and also more information gets put on-line all the time for those of us who do not live close-by.

Win-win all round.

Hi - Do the surnames Stones, Kitchen, Kitching, Marjason mean anything to you.  Crowle is a location for my ancestors and the surname Brunyee enters the mix.  Lincolnshire.  Regards - Dinny.

I have a Jane Brunyee 1813 - 1891 marrying Thomas Foster 1811- 1885. They had Sarah Jane Brunyee 1839 - 1922. Can anyone expand on this growing family?

I'm trying to find a link between Thomas Foster who married Jane Brunyee; and Robert Foster b. 1785 Crowle and another Jane Brunyee. They had John in 1821 followed by Sarah, David and Elizabeth and 3 others.
