Someone did once find me a Cartwright/Lambert marriage from parish records.

I'd like to see any of the illegitimate birth information!

And thanks for the Baker information. Being in Newark it does make it possible William Cartwright daughter of Baker is possible.

Sorry, I misread. I'd appreciate any information on the William Cartwrights.

Struggling to find any census records for William and Elizabeth Cartwright with a son William. Or any William born in about 1865 in Newark.

Which marriage was this from? If you had listed all cartwright-appropriate maiden name from the birth indexes, then we might have an inklingof the criteria.

This was off the 1841 Baker marriage in Newark provided by Annie65115. Although a 24 year gap is a long time, the 1863 William Cartwright was born with a mother's maiden name of Cartwright in Southwell.

So it was too much trouble to log into the gro site and locate other cartwright- baker births? And just too arduous to transfer the births info to this posting?

I found a Thomas Cartwright born shortly after the 1841 marriage but couldn't locate him either.

Was that an impediment to listing that and any/ all other cartwright- baker births?

The William born in 1863 to William Cartwright and Elizabeth Baker appears to have died in 1864 age 1. William and Elizabeth are in Upton, Notts in 1871 with three of their younger children, including a Rosamund born 1865 ( shown as age 5). They also had a William in 1860 who looks to have died in 1862.
