CHINA? Silver Tweezers
« on: Friday 27 April 18 21:23 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anyone can recognise this little instrument ( about 8 cms. long). It appears to be made of silver and has the ability to be locked closed. It was put to me that the purpose was associated with opium but no further details were forthcoming. Glad to reeive any opinions. Thanks, Toby.

It looks like something that would be worn on a Chatelaine....if you Google it you will see that many useful items were attached to them worn around the waist. Often they were useful items like, thimbles or  scissors so it could be something used for needlework, or embroidery.

Thanks for those suggestions. However I was remiss in not stating that I acquired it in Hong Kong. Hence my labellling of CHINA?  The suggestions may still however be valid. T

Interesting Shaun...I thought it would be an instrument used on a chatelaine as per my earlier response, but didn't know what for.
