Help with mother’s maiden name
« on: Tuesday 01 May 18 14:51 BST (UK) »
Can anyone hazard a guess at the maiden name of Sarah Walker. I wondered Harper, but not sure. Also not sure what third part of father’s occupation is - Foreman Iron ?
Groom was John Walker who was born in England 1832 - 1835 ( depending on which documents you look at.

Thanks both. Annie - do you think it could be Hooper? I’ve found a possible in 1841 census where mother appears to be Sarah Walker nee Hooper.

Sadly, after further research, the Sarah Walker/ Hooper link does not look like the right one. I’ve now downloaded John’s death certificate. Mmn definitely not Harper/Hooper  but still toiling to make out what it is. Possibly Hassell?
