Moving text on a photograph
« on: Tuesday 01 May 18 15:16 BST (UK) »
I'm using Photoshop 7. I have the picture up on the screen and click on the TEXT icon , after adjusting, font, size & colour I type in what I wish, it will appear where the cursor was shewing.

However if I'm not happy with where it is positioned is there anyway in which I can drag the text to a new location ?

Yes.... and No!

Depends on content.... you can use Snipping Tool??

You have your Photo... just save it under new name, if you do not like writing just Open original and do again??

You need to move while it still has the 'box' around it, move the cursor to the edge (possibly the corner) of the box and a four arrow plus symbol should show up this will allow you to drag it into position.

Opps not sure if that works in PhotShop but it might.

Ok
what i do

open the picture   in photoshop 7

select text    -- type the text

unselect text (without  Flattening)

then make sure you are on the text layer and move  or resize or copy to wherever you want...

If the text is still on it's own layer, you should be able to drag it wherever you like using the move tool.
