Where did this event take place?
« on: Tuesday 08 May 18 12:25 BST (UK) »
Hello,

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLGB-K5F8

Gives place as simply 'Essex'. The image is available to view but my phone can't access it.

I'd appreciate any help!

I thought it would be! Is there anything on the parents? A number of online genealogies link them to a family from Stoke by Clare, Suffolk, but one must always be wary.

BUT then it says that there is no image available to view  :-X :-X

If you use the film number - 001471935 - this covers, within your timescale:

Broxted = 1654-1979
Bulmer = 1559-1908
Bumpstead-Helion = 1558-1970
Bumpstead-Steeple = 1676-1970

There is one more parish, but records only from 1723 = Bulphan.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

i was just typing this as BumbleB posted, but I'll say it all anyway  :-X

Useful hint  :D

You can often down the place by searching the the F.S. film number.

On the link you give in your original posting click on 'Document Information'.

This gives you the film number 001471935

Go to https://www.familysearch.org/catalog/search and click on Film/Fiche number. Enter the film number.

In this case the result you get is https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&query=%2Bfilm_number%3A001471935

So in this case it doesn't give you the exact place, but you have at least considerably narowed it down.

In many cases the film number will give the the exact place from which the records were extracted.

Well worth bearing in mind for future reference.
