Yes, I just found Jane Kittow Uglow's death today as well.

Don't you just love it when people have trees where they attach people helter skelter with incorrect dates and places and claim them as their "own"?!!

Where was Edwin Walker born and approx. when? Wonder if he ever settled down and had an "official" family that he actually stayed with?

Edwin (occasionally Edward) WALKER born 1851, Leeds, Yorkshire, the son of William Joseph and Eliza nee HALL. Discharged from the military due to deafness in 1882 (so he was in Yorkshire when Charles was conceived...) I did find a potential marriage for him by the looks of my notes. There are a few newspaper articles that show he went into business with one of his brothers but the partnership got dissolved. I also have a potential death for him. I didn't go into getting certs for Edwin or anything like that, just idle stalking on an otherwise boring day.

"Idle stalking" on a boring day -- sounds like something I do from time to time :)

As I said, fascinating story for this family .... if you ever figure out which, if any, Uglow male, was the father of Elizabeth Jane Uglow Hamley, I hope you share.

Best regards!
