ave hit a brick wall with Robert Brand. He migrated from the UK to Tasmania around 1820 as a free settler. This date I got from his obituary which stated he had been in Tasmania for around 30 years when he died in 1851.My wife has some Baltic in her DNA and family history indicates his ancestors moved to the UK with the surname Brandt and subsequently dropped the T. Roberts birth date is around 1800.

Hello robof and welcome to rootschat!

Not much help yet, but just to add that according to his death record he was aged 53, so born c1798.

I'm assuming you have his marriage and children's births details in Tasmania?

Welcome to rootschat  :-\

What names did he give his children and when were they born,  that sometimes helps with a search for parents.
