Annie Wasson
« on: Saturday 12 May 18 13:52 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the birth record of an Annie Wasson daughter of Samuel Wasson. She married a Robert Martin on 1st October 1908 in Clare Church, County Tyrone. The marriage record would suggest that Annie was born 1887/1888. Annie's address on the marriage records looks like Clone but I cannot be certain. There is a birth record registered in Magherafelt for a Nancy Wasson born 31st January 1888, father is Samuel Wasson and mother is Margaret Kevin. I'm not sure if this birth record would be the one that I'm looking for. What do you think?

Is this Annie in 1911 born Derry
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Tyrone/Cookstown_Urban/Oldtown_Street/858717/

There is a Maggie Wasson as witness have you looked to see if couple you found have a daughter Margaret, likely given the mother's name but was she unmarried in 1908.

Also keep a note of the father's occupations on the certs.

On The same page as the marriage you will see that the two witnesses married each other
Thomas Black and Maggie Wasson with a Hugh Wasson as witness

That census record for Annie is right, the links are the birth registrations for Margaret, Thomas and Hugh Wasson. All of them are children of Samuel Wasson and Margaret Kevin. The only thing is they are registered in Magherafelt and Samuel is a Blacksmith rather than a Farmer.
