If Martha was married in 1850, would she be having a child in 1890s?

Annie Lamont shows as 28yrs in 1911 - she would be born abt 1883.

It doesn’t seem right.

wow  that's fantastic ... sorry it took me a while to work out how to send message back to you all    I'm pretty shore that Elizabeth is half sister to annie
    I understand that Martha had annie mary , William and Samuel when married with the name peden/pedan   and Elizabeth b. Scotland  and jean with 2nd marriage of orr
I know its a strange one this orr married peden and then back to orr again

sorry i know nothing of the area of scotland at all

It seems unlikely with the age though if she married in 1850.

Could you have the generations mixed up perhaps?

I don't know we had a family tree done and it states this info but no dates only the info I have given you
any chance you could help finding the the birth of annie mary peden that might put me on the right track

This is perhaps Martha in 1901 with son James

I gave a birth for James to James Pedant and Martha Orr. James was a shoemaker.

Here is a death for James, 74 yrs in 1897, a shoemaker reported by son James.

yes I see what you mean as if Martha is married 1850 and annie is 28 in 1911 well that's a big gap indeed although annie should have been about 22 when married going by the census saying shes 28

Perhaps if this is her with a single mother, it could account for her father showing as John Malone
