Can someone help me with a date of birth I know it was September 1921 his name was James Fitzgerald but I need the correct date to be able to get a certificate.
He was born in West Bromwich and his mother was Johanna Fitzgerald.

He was registered in West Brom JAS 1921 under James F Fitzgerald.
There is a death in Birmingham 1987 for a James Francis Fitzgerald born 29th May 1921 so possibly registered next quarter.
Does that ring a bell?
What certificate are you sending for, not all require a date of birth.

James was killed WW2 in France he married Nellie Cooke Dec Q 1939.

I think this is why the birth date is required for the death certificate.

He married in Shrewsbury

James was killed 12 August 1944 France.

Sorry, wrong James,
Someone might correct me but I don t think you would need his dob for a death certificate, I thought name, year volume and page was enough.
