Albert Stannett's Marriage

Hi, I am looking for information on Albert Stannett born in Eton in 1896. He is my great Uncle. I have him down as married to Elizabeth A. Lamburn on Ancestry but I believe this may be wrong. My daughter spoke to a man in the Eton Wick history group who actually knew Albert and his family and he seems to think he was married to Rose and had 2 children, 1 named James and a daughter. I thinking he may be right as Elizabeth was born in 1872 making her 24 years older than Albert. I could not find any other possible marriages to Albert. Just wondered if anyone had any information on Albert's marriage. I have been told he lived in Eton Wick in the 1950's and so did his son James.

Where do you get 1872 for Elizabeth‘s birthdate?

The Albert R Stannett who married in Eton in 1916 was born 10 May 1896.

His wife Elizabeth A claimed a birthdate of 26 March 1884.

They had a son James born 9 Oct 1919.


Have you looked at the family in the 1939 Register?

The death of Elizabeth Ann Stannett (born 26 March 1884) was registered Jun qtr 1976 Bracknell.

Thanks so much, not sure how I got that date wrong. I got that off Ancestry. I was told they had 2 children, maybe that was wrong too. Thanks again

It looks from FreeBMD as though they did also have a daughter in 1921 - there is also a possible marriage for the daughter in Eton in 1948.
